Here it is.... Take a good look at the inside page which explains this Woeful book. I think the first sentence in the first paragraph says it all. "The book remained in the planning stage until it was decided that the actual writing should be left to professionals."
THERE you have it.... This book which originally came out in 1984 and is still used in today's fellowship was not even written by COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS.. INSTEAD, it was written by a firm that WE paid $1,000's of dollars to write it!
I gringe to think that the fellowship then decided to BURN all the older Gamblers ANonymous Big Books. Fortunatley, they forgot to BURN mine.
Soon, I will be making copies of the Original G.A. big book and make it available on-line.
But for the Grace of God. I will never have to Gamble again.
Tomorrow, a Report on the Half-marathon that I'm running, and on what I'm doing to continue to recover!

I'm a Recovered member of AA and have gone thru the 12 steps .. God has removed everything that was gonna block me from helping his children ... I has abstained from Gambling for 6 yrs of my 7 years of sobriety ... I was controlling it and Enjoying it for a while ... But the last month or so I found I was controlling it then not enjoying it .. I was chasing my money down the Drain ... It isn't that God isn't removing it , its that I'm not letting him because of my Selfishness ... Anyway I've been going to the So called 12 step program of Gamblers Anonymous and I can really see how they only have a 2 % suucces rate ... How can you come to a 12 step program and not do the 12 steps ( insanity ) well I'm continuing to practice Spiritual principles thru AA and just fellowshipping in GA ... The War Stories are boring me to Death ... Don't know how people stay away from Gambling ... Why doesn't anyone use the BB in GA ? Overeaters Do and they kick ass with it ... Isn't the Basic Text the Directions of every 12 step program ... GA is a great example if you Do the Steps right off the wall , you are Gonna have off the wall Sobriety ...
